Funding and Refunds
Deposit
Each tank has its own deposit address. Find it on the tank card in the dashboard.
- Send SUI to the address as an address balance or as coin objects. Both work.
- Coin objects convert to address balance within about a minute. The conversion gas comes out of the deposit.
- The first deposit into an empty tank must be at least 0.01 SUI when it arrives as a coin, because that coin pays for its own conversion.
- Deposits are credited to the tank within a minute of the transaction landing on chain.
- Any wallet can deposit. Inodra records the digest of every deposit.
Send only SUI. Other coin types sent to a tank address are not credited and cannot be refunded.
Balance and spendable
The dashboard and GET /v1/gas/pool show three numbers:
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
balanceMist | Everything the tank holds on chain that the ledger knows about. |
accruedCutsMist | Inodra fees the tank owes but has not yet paid. Part of the balance until swept. |
inFlightBudgetsMist | Gas budgets of sponsorships that are executing right now. |
spendableMist | balance - accruedCuts - inFlightBudgets. New sponsorships draw from this. |
A sponsorship reserves the full gas budget of the transaction while it runs. When it settles, the reserve is released and only the net gas plus the fee stays charged. Keep budgets close to real usage to keep more balance spendable.
estimatedSponsorshipsRemaining estimates how many sponsorships the spendable balance covers at the tank's max budget. It is a floor, not a forecast.
Owed fees and sweeps
Inodra charges 0.001 SUI per sponsorship. The fee stays in the tank as an owed amount.
- Inodra sweeps owed fees automatically once a tank owes 1 SUI or more.
- The sweep transaction is signed by the tank and pays its own gas out of the owed amount.
- Owed fees never expire. A deleted tank keeps its owed fees until a later sweep.
- The owed amount is never spendable and is never refundable.
Refund
You can refund a tank's customer balance to a wallet you control.
- In the dashboard, open the tank and choose Refund.
- Connect the destination wallet. The connected account becomes the destination. You cannot type an address.
- Sign the refund message with the connected wallet. The message names the organization, tank, network, destination, and a nonce.
- Inodra verifies the signature, signs the transfer with the tank key, and shows the digest.
A refund always moves the full spendable balance. There are no partial refunds. The refund gas comes off that amount. A residue smaller than the refund gas budget (0.01 SUI) can stay behind because moving it would cost more than it is worth; Inodra keeps it as a fee, so the tank reads zero and can be deleted.
Only organization owners and admins can refund. The signed message is valid for 5 minutes. A second use of the same message is rejected.
Refunds are transactions on chain. The tank pays the refund gas from the customer balance.
Delete
A tank can be deleted when:
- The customer balance is zero. Refund it first.
- Nothing is in flight. Wait for pending sponsorships and transfers to settle.
Owed fees may remain. Inodra sweeps them later. Deleted tanks are soft-deleted and stay visible to Inodra for reconciliation. The tank name becomes available again for a new tank.
Do not send SUI to a deleted tank. Deposits that land after deletion are not credited and can only be recovered by contacting support.
Low balance alerts
Set lowBalanceAlertMist in the tank's rules. When the spendable balance drops below it, the organization owner gets an email. The alert repeats at most once per 24 hours per tank.
